Vanessa Fayolle is a passionate artisan who creates scented candles, soaps, and fragrance-based products inspired by Mauritius. After a major personal setback, she stepped away from the hospitality industry, she turned to artisanal creation, shaping each piece with care, emotion, and a deep connection to the island.

For more than 10 years, Tessa Fauvrelle has been crafting natural soaps and shampoos using a gentle cold-process method. After her personal journey with alopecia, she was inspired to create handmade, authentic products that nurture the skin, honour nature and celebrate Mauritian craftsmanship.

Former luxury hotel pastry chef Richard Frédéric embraced a new chapter in his career following a medical break. Today, he crafts chutneys, jams, pickles, and pastries entirely by hand. Each flavour combines refined technique, passion, and attention to detail, creating accessible, flavourful delights full of character.

During the Covid pandemic, in 2019, Nishma Beeharry discovered a new path, making recycled seeded paper. From a small label with parsley seeds, she developed a handmade process, turning old paper into plantable sheets. Each wonder gives new life, promoting sustainable and human-crafted creations in Mauritius.

Since 2011, Franceska Spéville has been weaving palm leaves into handcrafted creations, turning her passion into a life deeply connected to nature. Alongside her, Clarel works with coconut and other natural materials. Together, they bring nature’s gifts to life through thoughtful, authentic and beautifully crafted pieces made with true dedication.

Founded in 2013, Jenny Leblanc Bauman creates handmade Vacoas bags and jewellery, blending tradition with colour and intricate detail. Working with a team of 13 people, each piece reflects passion and precision, where every step, from weaving to finishing, reveals the beauty of handmade work.

Jean Claude Desvaux has devoted 25 years to the art of glass, first honing his craft in South Africa before returning to Mauritius to open his own studio with his wife. Refined through years of dedication, his work reflects a demanding savoir-faire, where each piece is shaped by heat, passion and heart.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Anita Vorster creates hand-painted fabrics, transforming a difficult period into a creative journey. Encouraged by her husband, she began with printing before finding her true expression through painting. Shaping coconut into art, Rahul Churitter, 34 years old, transforms humble shells into luminous creations. What began in 2022 from a simple moment became a growing passion. Each piece is shaped, polished and finished by hand, revealing natural forms that are unique and full of character.

Inspired by her son, Delphine Toulet creates personalised wooden dodo puzzles, blending motherhood, craftsmanship, and creativity since 2019.
